so, some of the garments i chose might seem kind of boring, or on the safe side. but something about living here is rubbing off on me and i want to look like a lady ALL THE TIME. but not like a lady who lunches, more like a lady at the office who files things. there are many levels to the world of "lady".
i remember going to my dad's office when i was a little girl and just STARING at the his secretary. she was like the first "young woman" i had ever had any interaction with and the image of her cream blouse, black pencil skirt, permed hair and bad lipstick was and will forever be BURNED into my brain. i just really want to look like a korean secretary, y'all. i would come home and scribble jibberish on post-it notes and pretend coffee-make. i mean i dont want to be a secretary, just like pretend like one... i guess.
anyways, if you look at the clothes really carefully none of them are really that office appropriate. but this is MY fantasy office job, so yes, i would definately don a crazy christopher kane cocktail number with leather wires to work. i especially love the burnt/torn burlap sack (literally) from miu miu with the pleated apron skirt. but i kind of especially love anything from the prada empire. the kiki de montparnasse garter tank top is kind of.. sexy. but i promise, that's not what i meant by wanting to be a secretary...

woah, this was so hard. i wanted to do something cohesive so i downloaded a trial version of photoshop and thought 'oh ill just piece together some pictures'. turns out, nope, NOT THAT EASY. after two hours of stitching this thing together i am so exhausted. i should have just printed it out and glued the damn thing together. anyways, look at my craft project.

haha, you like? anyways, i was super excited but too tired to think up of some snappy title. so all i have is... 'nude shoes'. haha, that's really all i could come up with. i really have been cravin' me some tan shoes recently. it goes with everything and neutralizes your entire outfit. it also gives you the greenlight to go completely buck wild with your clothes yet pulls you back just enough to say 'i am actually a very poised individual and capable of seeing reason'. you know, for all those judgmental fuckers out there.
the first one on the top left which is tipped on it's heal (haha i was so excited i could do such things when i found the tool on photoshop, i was tipping things left and right) is from ACNE. The shoe is called Strap Dark Sand DF. It's realll pret-pret. i'm really into hospital bandage-like adornments these days and the upturned triangle heel is an extra bonus. i always find that the quickest way to differentiate a 'good' shoe from a... not so good shoe is the heel. the heel is paramount! especially when you are buying knock-offs or copies. they alllways make mistakes on the heel. you can't just glue on a medium sized, stumpy ass stiletto on the heel and call it a 'good' shoe. who are you trying to fool? this heel, along with the bandage straps, instantly brings this otherwise traditional pump into new territory and makes it seem very contemporary. in other words, it becomes tres relevant.
the fringy sandal sitting on the cliff over there is Zucca. i actually have no idea what it is called and honestly probably would never buy it. it looks like blister town. ugh, can't you just feel the leather fringes getting in between the toes and you know, sweat, dirt, pavement. all equal bad times. but it is a beautiful beautiful shoe. i really like Zucca. i was recently in tokyo and went to the Cabane de Zucca store in omotesando and bought the craziest pair of boots. they are sitting in my closet, it has never seen the light of day, but i take it out once in a while and just stare at them. they are kind of bonkers, but they make me feel reallllly good inside.
the tan boot on the top right as well as the one on the bottom left corner are also ACNE. they are called Studio 3 and Studio 2, respectively. the gathered top and rather roomy trunk makes this a definate 'good' shoe. these are the kind of ankle boots that i am constantly on the hunt for. and the heel is a very manageable height. also an added bonus, these boots will give you killer calves. and killer calves are also paramount!
the little boots below Studio 3 are Vanessa Bruno Athe riding boots. probs the most practical out of the bunch. they're just really dependable and timeless, aka, your best friend forever! i love you shoe!
the one below the Bruno's, as i like to say, is Rachel Comey Bergen Tassel Clog. they are a really fun twist on the oxford/loafer shoe trend that doesn't seem to be leaving any time soon. i actually love this wave of 'how many ways can you loafer a shoe'. i think secretly i just really want to go to an english prep school and frolick about in a dusty, medieval library. and this definately helps fuel that fantasy.
the tan wedge in the middle is from Opening Ceremony and it is called the cross wedge. i love them. come to me! these are also killer calf makers.
the last one on the bottom left corner are Bernhard Willhelm Brown Rope Sandal. these i feel pretty much the same way as i do for the Zucca sandals. i mean, leather rope on feet during summer time? blister town! but they are really pretty and really sculpural. i like how the leather ropes are unusually thicker than you would expect. it screams 'im different, how 'bout you?'. but ow.
